Moonlit Memories

Under the moonlight, with laughter we roamed,
Bright costumes shining, we were far from home.
As we knocked on each door, our voices rang clear,
“Trick or treat!” we called, spreading joy and good cheer.

Now in shadows we wander, lost and alone,
Searching for comfort in the chill of the bone.
As the darkness deepens, we wear our disguise,
But beneath the surface, the innocence dies.

Halloween hides a haunting truth,
That behind our masks, we are losing our youth.
With laughter that echoes in the night,
We bury our dreams, dimming their light.
